Ten Alumni to Receive 2026 Distinguished Alumni Award
Ten Penn State alumni will receive the Distinguished Alumni Award in 2026, the University’s highest honor presented to its alumni. The recipients were selected by the Penn State Board of Trustees and formally notified of their selection.
Established in 1951, the award recognizes alumni whose personal lives, professional achievements, and community service reflect the mission and values of Penn State.
2026 Distinguished Alumni Award recipients:
• Jennifer A. Chambers, M.D., MBA, Chief Medical Officer of Health Care Originals and Founder and Chief Medical Officer of JAChambers Healthcare Consulting.
• Daniel J. Eichenlaub, retired President of Eichenlaub, Inc.
• Steven L. Fisher, J.D., President and CEO of PEI-Genesis.
• Reggie Hedgebeth, Executive Vice President, External Affairs and Chief Legal Officer of Enbridge, Inc.
• Stephen H. Mahle, retired Executive Vice President of Medtronic.
• KC McClure, retired Chief Financial Officer of Accenture.
• Gerald J. Parsons, Founder and Chairman of CTDI.
• Hasu P. Shah, retired Chairman and CEO of Hersha Hospitality Trust.
• Janet S. Vergis, retired CEO of OraPharma.
• Kenneth J. Young, hospitality and recreation entrepreneur.
Each honoree will receive an inscribed certificate and an engraved bronze medallion. The medallion is presented in a handcrafted box made from wood of the historic American Elm trees that once stood on the University Park campus.
The Philadelphia Chapter celebrates these leaders and their impact across healthcare, engineering, law, finance, hospitality, and entrepreneurship. Their achievements reflect the strength of the Penn State alumni network and the standard of excellence our community strives to uphold.
