Penn State Trivia & Brunch at City Tap Benefiting the Penn State Philly Scholarship Fund
Join Penn State Philly on Saturday, April 21 at 11AM at City Tap House Logan Square for a Penn State trivia competition over brunch! Teams can be any size, and the winning team will win a $150 gift card to City Tap. The 19th Annual Liberty Ball, A Knight for the Kids
Join Liberty Ball and the Philadelphia Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association for the 19th Annual Liberty Ball, A Knight for the Kids, on Saturday, February 24, 2024, from 7pm to 12am at the Crystal Tea Room!
This annual "blue-tie" optional event fundraises to support the efforts of Penn State THON for its sole beneficiary, Four Diamonds at the Hershey Medical Center.
The evening will consist of auctions, raffles, stories from Four Diamonds families, dinner, and dancing to our favorite band, Second Vision.
Since its inception in 2005, the Liberty Ball has raised over $450,000 for THON to help conquer childhood cancer.

THON Around the World 5K
Join us on Sunday, October 22, to celebrate the THON 5K and the culmination of the Around The World Challenge in Philadelphia!
Meet in front of the Art Museum Steps at 10am, wheels up at 10:15am. We'll pick up the Schuylkill River Trail as we make our way to the CHOP Roberts Center for Pediatric Research. Then, we'll loop around and give it a good old "Rocky Finish", complete with "WE ARE" chant and photos throwing our diamonds up For The Kids! Everyone is welcome - walkers, runners, bikers, skaters, furry friends!
Participants are encouraged to sign up for the Around the World Challenge via donate.thon.org/team/libertyball and wear their favorite Penn State or THON attire.

We’ll be meeting up to participate in the festivities including but not limited to pumpkin painting, pretzel twisting competition, a beer garden, and special treats from the Reading Terminal vendors! We’ll meet at the pumpkin painting at 12 PM.
Greater Philadelphia First-Year Sendoff
Are you headed to Penn State this fall for your first year of college and reside in Montgomery County, Bucks County, or Philadelphia? If so, we want to invite you and your parents to our annual First Year Sendoff, co-hosted by the Penn State alumni association chapters of Montgomery County, Bucks County, and Philadelphia. It takes place on Sunday, August 6th from 11:30AM to 3:00 PM. This is a free event for all incoming first year students to any of Penn State's 20 campuses and their families.
This year's event will be held on the Penn State Abington Campus.
Incoming first-year students will separated into groups by the campuses they will be attending. First years and their families will enjoy a pizza and salad lunch. Then first years will get questions answered by current students and embark on a scavenger hunt around the campus learning more about Penn State on the hunt. Afterwards everyone will come back for time to mix and mingle and enjoy dessert.
Parents: Come and ask questions about Penn State and meet other Penn State parents. We will be holding programs for first time Penn State parents including a financial aid Q&A and a session presented by current Penn State Parents about helping them navigate the complexities of first year campus life including what to expect on move-in day, how to choose a meal plan, when to start looking and how to find an apartment, how to get football tickets, and so much more.

You spoke, we listened! For five years, the Moshulu was home to the Liberty Ball Luau. We are excited to announce our new home for this year's Luau, Liberty Point at Penn's Landing! The new venue provides more space and more food, without sacrificing the beautiful views of the Philadelphia Skyline and the Delaware River.
Opening in 2022 with three levels, five bars, seven event spaces and views of the river from every corner, Liberty Point joins the vibrant collection of waterfront activities at Penn's Landing as Philadelphia's largest restaurant.
